Course Instructor

Sandra Shallcross, PhD, LP

Founder and Lead Psychologist

As a Counseling Psychologist, I have dedicated much of my career to the understanding two things: 1) how individuals can recover and even grow after experiencing stress and trauma and 2) how people discover meaning and purpose in their lives. Since 2015, I have developed many modes of training for healthcare practitioners, from individual services to classes, talks and workshops. After witnessing the pandemic leave its mark on the hearts of so many clinicians, I realized it is time for a new way to support change, and I am committed to evidence-based innovation to improve training and empower practitioners. I can’t say enough about how meaningful this work has become to me. I am so grateful to the healthcare professionals I have met for their inspiring examples of compassion and resilience. My work is grounded in the emerging gold-standard approaches for clinician well-being, including cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches. My teaching is also rooted in over two decades of personal practice with meditation and yoga.
